Autobiography of the founder of Aldrich, now the world's largest supplier of research chemicals. He fled Austria just before the start of the Second World War, was interned in Canada where he went on to study chemistry followed by at Harvard. After forty years builiding up Aldrich, he was thrown off the board and went on to a successful career as art collector and dealer.
