Front cover is a colorful montage of dancers in period costume. Back cover has illustrations of the line of 17 Treasure Chest Books of the era including this one. The spine is colorchipped, corners are very lightly rubbed, pages are tanned. (Very Good).

Civinini. English Version by R. H. Elkin. This opera by Puccini is founded upon the drama of the same name by David Belasco. First produced in New York in 1910, the scene is laid in a mining camp at the foot of Cloudy Mountains, in California in the days of the gold fever, 1849 & 1850. (Good Plus).

Dust jacket front panel design of three royal lions by Carl Smith is repeated on book title page. Spine ends lightly bumped, top edges just a tad dusty appearing, a clean, square copy with sharp corners. Dust jacket is price clipped at front flap bottom corner, has a bit of colorchipping on spine top, small black mark at back top edge, protected in a new Gaylord-brand archival clear plastic cover (removable). A rollicking and revealing behind-the-curtain exploration into the strange, wild world of the last of the fabulous beasts -- the true opera star; an explosive chemical combination of great voice, personality and temperament. Near Fine/Very Good.
