The brown case is clean and sturdy with a somewhat stained label at face signed and numbered by the author. A second very clean label is adhered to the front free endpaper and is also SIGNED. In addition, the book is inscribed to former owner and again SIGNED by Grant. It's not often you find a book that's been signed three times!The book itself is clean and bright with no faults -- unusual to find it so. Dustjacket has a tiny crease and an even tinier chip to top front edge, plus a small bit of rubbing at same area, but is most handsome. The author examines more than two hundred authentic Kentucky rifle hunting pouches and other accoutrements needed to fire the American long rifle.The lengthy text is illustrated with crisp, detailed black and white photos throughout.
