The Ohio School of the Air Teachers Manual 1966-67; Once Upon a Time in Ohio; Chevron School Broadcast (two books)
Columbus, Ohio, Ohio State University Telecommunications Center, 1966. Soft Cover, 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall, Very Good/, Two books, both in crisp, clean condition and both for the school year 1966-67. Staple bound. The Ohio School of the Air began in 1929 as a means to educate Ohio school children on both the primary and secondary levels. For a bit less than ten years ithe program was government funded, but the state legislature stopped the flow of money in 1937. Somehow it endured though, at least through the 1970's. At the time these books were printed broadcasting was out of Columbus. Both books offer the teacher summaries and suggested classroom activities to coordinate with the programs. Subjects here are Ohio history and the heritage of Pan-America.
