The books themselves are clean as a whistle with no fault of note. The slipcase is likewise clean and very sturdy, but shows some mild corner bumping and a few small marks to back. Overall quite presentable and the books are lovely. A wee introduction to Mother Goose with old favorites such Mary, Mary; Miss Muffet, Rock-a-Bye Baby and Humpty Dumpty.

Dustjacket is tattered with tears and creasing to top front and two small chips to same area, as well as a few other scattered small chips and one large one at crown of spine. Also a few small edgetears to upper back. Jacket has not been price-clipped and has been placed in brand new mylar for protection. Book is charmingly illustrated throughout with drawings by Lucille Douglass who also wrote a touching introduction about the author and how she brought the great dancer Pavlova to perform for Chinese children. The text is lovely -- for older children, but interesting for adults as well -- and discusses Chinese life and people, festivals, arts, travel and homes.351 pages. A gem.
