Dark green boards show a small bit of wear to surface of spine at front and to a lesser degree at back -- no compromise to binding integrity. Gilt to face and spine faded. Wonderful drawingsx and photographs and much text about the Lawson Co., an industry leader in the transportation field. Also much aviation history.

This stamp, the Buffalo Balloon Stamp, is highly regarded in philately circles. Great collector piece. Includes original bill of sale from the Lighter Than Air Society.

(ISBN: 0929823400) Hard Cover with dust jacket, Folio - over 12" - 15" tall, Fine/Fine, Beautiful book, gently cared for by its previous owner, a collector of aviation books. Oversized volume measures 10"x12-1/4". Black boards are clean and umbumped, pages are pristine and jacket shows no tears or chips and is protected by brand new mylar. Ben Shul, the author, boldly flat signed it on the front free endpaper and dated it 1996. There is a small bit of light soil to this page, but this is the only fault. It even still retains publisher's card which is laid-in. 180 exquisite color photographs, some full page and some even double spread. A first hand account of the incredible U.S. Navy flying team known as the world's most recognized for more than 50 years. To write the book and capture these images, Shul traveled with the team for a full year. 188 pages.

They measure 8-1/2"x11" and have 56 pages each. All books are nicely illustrated with pictorial endpapers and numerous interior photographs, most in black and white, but also some color. At the time of publication there were 37 separate stand-alone titles in the series.Each profile discusses design and development, variations, military service and specifications.

Both contain much information and are not price guides, but rather drawings and descriptions of labels available on the collectors' market. There are six volumes and eight sections in the entire set, but we are offering here Volume III sections A and B only. Because they have a specialized audience and were produced by a club, book production costs were kept to a minimum with the result being that some pages are lighter than others, but all readable and valuable to the collector. We also have available the first two European books.
