Top edge gilt. A very presentable copy: a bit of toning to text, more seriously to front endpaper from an inserted newspaper article. The covers with some light spotting and fading at bottom front cover; corners turned in a bit; cloth torn at spine ends - half inch at bottom and quarter inch at top. Hardy's last published book. Very good.
