No place (Milwaukee?):, Casanova Press,, 1935., First Edition, Hardcover. Octavo in blue cloth stamped in gilt. 71 pages. LIMITED EDITION, #283 OF 300 COPIES, SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. A hard to find item in the works of the Idaho author, the book was published by Milwaukee bookseller Harry Schwartz. It collects four essays: The Neurotic Nightingale, How's Your Sense of Humor, The Implications of Radicalism, and In Defense of Professors. The paper is lightly toned, but the inside is clean and sound. The covers are clean and barely rubbed at extremities and the spine is a bit faded. The jacket is complete but for the tiniest chip at upper right front panel; there is a half-inch closed tear on top rear panel as well as a very light vertical stain; the spine is a bit darkened; there is light soiling generally. Very Good+ in Very Good Dustjacket.

Signed by the author and dated in the year of publication. Owner name at bottom of endpaper. Minor extremity wear and the most minimal of fading to board edges. Nice jacket, just lightly spine darkened; some tiny chips at extremities; a two inch tear at top of cover spine fold. Very Good+ in Very Good DJ.
