Hardback octavo in gray cloth stamped in red. 272 pages. A humorous travelogue with plenty of economics thrown in, by the still popular McGill professor during the depression. Note that there is no indication of an earlier Canadian publication although perhaps this is just a First U.S. edition. A hint of both toning to the text and wear to the cover edges, but otherwise clean and sound. The jacket is complete but for some shallow chipping at the head of spine, and very light wear to the tips; a half inch tear to the top front panel. Near Fine in Very Good + DJ. An interesting early report of missionary activity in the area roughly between Lake Superior and Hudson Bay and west to the Red River. Spine is notably toned to brown with a short tear at the bottom of the front joint. Covers with light extremity wear. Hinges starting but reasonably sound with endpapers craced at the hinge.
