Books have a hint of scuffing on their covers; bindings are square, tight, and unfaded. Pages are unmarked, except for gift inscription in ink on front free endpaper of Volume I. Books are housed in pictorial slipcases which are a little rubbed at their edges and a little scuffed on their faces and which have a couple of minor splits at their edges. It will cost more than the standard rate to ship this four-volume set by Priority Mail or to places outside the U. S. ; ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 394/368/368/397 pages. Very Good+ with no dust jacket .

Review copy, with publisher's blurb laid in. First printing of this edition, published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the book's publication (in 1900). Appreciative foreword by Ray Bradbury compares Baum to Lewis Carroll; woodcut illustrations by Michael McCurdy give the story a darker atmosphere than usual. ; 0.86 x 8.81 x 7.39 Inches; 187 pages.
