APOLLINAIRE, GUILLAUME  Flesh Unlimited
London, Creation Books. 2000, New. (ISBN: 1840680156) Paperback, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The debauched aristocrat Mony Vibescu and a circle of fellow degenerates blaze a trail of uncontrollable lust, cruelty and depravity across the streets of Europe. In the second story, a young man reminisces his sexual awakening at the hands of his aunt, sister and their friends in a season of carnal excess. Flesh Unlimited is a compendium edition of Les Onze Mille Verges and Les Mémoires d'un Jeune Don Juan (The Amorous Exploits of a Young Rakehell & The Debauched Hospodar), two of the finest examples of extreme literary erotica ever produced. Dadaist poet Guillaume Apollinaire fine-tuned his uniquely poetic and surreal vision to produce these two masterpieces of the explicit erotic imagination at the turn of the century, works which compare with the best of the Marquis de Sade. Presented in brand new translations by Alexis Lykiard (translator of Lautréamont's Maldoror), these are the original, complete and unexpurgated versions, with full introduction and notes. This Edition also includes a translation of Irene's Cunt (Le Con d'Irene) by Louis Aragon. New.

DUCHAMP, MARCEL (EDITED BY FRANCIS M. NAUMANN & HECTOR OBALK)  Affect Marcel: The Selected Correspondence of Marcel Duchamp
London, Thames & Hudson. 2000, First Edition. (ISBN: 0500019584) Hard Cover with dust jacket, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Marcel Duchamp left a large volume of correspondence, a thousand documents that form a unique source for our knowledge of the artist's personality and work. In his letters, Duchamp talks of his latest plans and works in progress. He discusses important projects, including the "ready-made" - a concept that was radically to change the course of 20th-century art. Francis Naumann has devoted 20 years to assembling all traceable letters, translating them and annotating them in this volume. Naumann also focuses on the historical content and provides a detailed introduction to each correspondent. In this way, she seeks to make Duchamp's life and thought real and accessible to experts and the art-loving public alike. The book contains all the letters in their original language (French or English), together with a translation where appropriate. Contains a selection of Duchamps's correspondence with Louise & Walter Arensberg, Constantin Brancusi, Andre Breton, Suzanne Duchamp, Alfred Stieglitz, Tristan Tzara, Jacques Villon, and mnay others. Index of Marcel Duchamp's works, cited or evoked; Index of Names; Index of Letters by Correspondent. Edited by Francis M. Naumann & Hector Obalk. Marcel Duchamp 28 July 1887 - 2 October 1968) was a French artist (he became an American citizen in 1955) whose work and ideas had considerable influence on the development of post-World War I Western art, and whose advice to modern art collectors helped shape the tastes of the Western art world. While he is most often associated with Dada and Surrealism, his participation in Surrealism was largely behind the scenes, and after being involved in New York Dada, he barely participated in Paris Dada. Thousands of books and articles attempt to interpret Duchamp's artwork and philosophy, but in interviews and his writing, Duchamp only added to the mystery. The interpretations interested him as creations of their own, and as reflections of the interpreter. A playful man, Duchamp prodded thought about artistic processes and art marketing, not so much with words, but with actions such as dubbing a urinal "art" and naming it Fountain. He produced relatively few artworks as he quickly moved through the avant-garde rhythms of his time. New/New.
