The author rails against local officials in Juneau for their treatment of arrested labor protestors. Mentioned for special criticisim are Judge Wm. Holtzheimer (1883-1974) for swearing out warrants against only union rioters, and Herbert Faulkner (1870-1948) city attorney and company lobbyist. Wonderful strident union language used in composing the newsletter while mentioning the bible, 4th of July, and justice. Unusual piece of labor adjatation in early Alaska. Very Good.

Gay." on the front flyleaf. Written by Paul Eliel, Director of the Industrial Relations Department, Industrial Association of San Francisco. He was an employee of the San Francisco Industrial Association representing the Bay Area businessmen and served as a management consultant, arbitrater and educator in California. The book gives an overview of the strike that became a general strike in San Francisco after the death of 2 strikers by the police. Useful for the exhibits of documents at the back of the book.
