Second reprint (1992) of the 1974 edition produced under the patronage of the Shrewsbury Historical Society. Originally published in 1885 by R.T. Peck & Co., Philadelphia. Widely considered THE history of the area, indispensable for genealogists and Revolutionary historians. Fascinating for natives and residents. Comprehensive to the point of being nearly encyclopedic. Illustrated. 902pp. Also inlcuded is the Ellis Index by Norma Lippincott Swan. Contains name and subject index. 247pp. Originally published by the Jerseyana Club in 1973.
