A landmark novel, it led to several important court decisions on indecency and censorship. Certainly Burroughs' best-known work (it was successfully adapted by David Cronenberg into a fine film of the same name), it is also arguably Burroughs' best and most enduring as well. One of 3500 copies. And incidently, there are no "states" of this jacket, contrary to some dealer's listings.
