Light brown coloured boards with impressed gilt decoration. Spine with similar decoration and gilt title: "Two Hundred Years Ago". The boards are now very rubbed and the gilt faded. All page edges gilt. Endpapers lightly soiled. Engraved frontis: "The Inman House." Printed title, with colophon to verso of title: " Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1858, by S.S.Simpson, In the Clerk's Office of the District of Massachusetts. Lithotyped by Cowles and Company, 17 Washinton St, Boston. Printed by Geo C. Rand and Avery." All text is clear and readable, but the pages have a light tide mark and a few blemishes from previous use. Rear endpaper with similar staining and previous owners details in pencil: "Emanual Chapel, Somerville, Mass." A scarce little book. G+ .
