Black letter text. 15 leaves of black letter text ( double columns). It consists of: "A Commination. and "The Psalmes of David, of that translation which is commonly used in the Church.". 	17TH CENTURY COMMONWEALTH BIBLE The Holy Bible Containing The Old Testament And The New... London: Printed by Roger Daniel, 1654 . 0. 4to. Old full calf. Boards detached. Flat spine with gilt banding and gilt title: "Holy Bible". Previous owner's details to verso of front board: Joseph John Mower, Dale Cottage Tideswell Derbyshire April 1862." Engraved title laid-down with chipped edges. Roman letter text in double columns, a few leaves chipped along the lower edge (affecting a few words). The preliminary leaves are present, but the first two chapters of genesis are missing (the text starts on leaf A2 with Cap. III.) . The Old Testament ends with Zechariah Chap VI.
