Incorporating the Author's guarantee, which shows a facsimile of the metallic token originally issued to the Subscribers with their copies of the book. [It is worth noting that a copy has been seen in the past with wording on its Guarantee which seemed to indicate that Mr Kent, having issued all of the copies of his book numbered from 1 to 250 inclusive, started again and sold another 250 copies, numbering them once again from 1 to 250 but this time with the word Duplicate added!] The pagination of the copy here offered is incomplete, but would seem to have been issued so. It commences with a Supplementary Title & Index To Kent's Valuation of British Coins and Tokens For 300 Years, 1600-1912, Chichester 1913. This section of xxvii pages is followed by the Title-page proper for British Metallic Coins &c By G.C.K. this time with the cancel Publisher's name L. Upcott Gill First Edition 1912, followed by pages 1-288 inclusive, and then pages 321-353 + 13pp of adverts. Pages 289 to 320 have never been bound in. This omission apart, a very good example of a scarce and important book, in red cloth-covered boards/gilt spine title.
