 - RITCHIE, ANDREW CARNDUFF  A GROUP OF MUSEUM OF MODERN ART "NEW TALENT EXHIBITON" BROCHURES
New York. 1950-1956., The Museum of Modern Art., First Edition. Printed Paper, 8vo, Five continuous 9 1/4 x 4" sheets each printed offset recto and verso, neatly folded to make 8pp. "This series of smaller, informal exhibitions initiated in 1950, was planned as an additional means to show little-known work which, in the opinion of the Department of Painting and Sculpture, merits the attention of the Museum's membership and the New York public". This is a group of five of the printed documents for these irregularly scheduled MOMA "New Talent" exhibitions; the first, second, fourth, sixth and eighth. Each documents the work of three artists; Seymour Drumlevitch, William D. King, and Raymond Parker (1950), Louis Bunce, Ynez Johnston, and Ernest Mundt (1950), Philip C. Eliott, Gorman Powers, Waler R. Rogalski, and Carol Summers (1952), Keith Monroe, Ira Schwartz, and Robert Sowers (1953), and Martin Craig, Nora Speyer, and Leander Fornas (1955). The first two are text only, while the remaining three feature one reproduction for each of the artists. A most presentable grouping of these uncommon, ephemeral items that were the only printed documentation of the exhibitions showing some light wear and age toning, with the 1955 edition sporting a 1/4" closed tear.. Good or Better; Inquire.
