The first, "Kronovecta: Concept Designs of Syd Mead" is a three hundred and twenty-eight page volume in wrappers that focuses on Mead's conceptual process, with over seven hundred sketches, memos and renderings. The second, "Kronovid: The Technique of Syd Mead" is a printed clamshell box containing a 58 minute VHS video-cassette that contains a documentary/interview with the author in English that is also subtitled in Japanese. The final volume, "Kronoteko: Art of Syd Mead" is one hundred and forty-four pages, hardbound in boards, and is dedicated to one hundred and forty full color illustrations of completed works. Syd Mead has been responsible for the look of "Blade Runner", "2010", "Star Trek - The Motion Picture", as well as numerous automotive designs, products for US Steel, etc., and "Kronolog" is truly his magnum opus.
