This is described by Mike Kelley here as "an exercise in the construction of a history, and specifically a minor history. This project is a collaboration between myself and Tony Oursler. It takes the form of a video installation; a three CD box set produced by Oursler and myself as part of a band: The Poetics, in the late seventies and early eighties; and a xerox fanzine-style book which recreates our original band notebook augmented with period photos, an extra CD, and essays by each artist". This is designed in the style of a CD boxed set, and contains both textual and photographic documentation (including the recreation of the Poetics Project at Documenta X that same year), but no recorded music (that was released separately by the Cortical Foundation).
