A. Michael to the rascally Canadian publisher Reggie Saunders, on the dedication page, above the translator's name - a fine fresh unread copy in the curiously deco-ish cartoonish colour pictorial dj, one tiny tear. Fine.

Ill.: Unknown. - apparently the first English edition using this title [ Mistress Branican ] - there was an American edition using this title published by Chatterton Peck in 1907 - full red cloth, with full sailed war ships engaged in battle on the front cover & a smaller similar panel on the spine, all printed & pictured in black ink - fly leaf replaced with old matching stock else a fine bright / tight copy - text runs to 360 pages, with 20 pp. of dated ads & an additional 32 pp. of undated ads - 2 illustrations, the frontis & an inserted plate at page 204 - a shipwreck novel set along the Australian coast - there appear to be several issues of this edition, one w/o dated ads, one with partially pictorial covers, one with less ads & illustrations, etc. - sensibly, at least, this one should be the earlier -. Fine.
