Ca. 1870-1900. A fascinating collection of family photos and portraits from 2 Seneca families, the Silverheels and Plummers. A variety of sizes and formats: tintypes (3), cartes-des-visites (7), cabinet cards (4) and 1 larger group portrait. The photographers include Geo. W. Scott and F. J. Weber, both of Gowanda, NY; A. Wright and Corell, both of Silver Creek, NY; Remington of Buffalo; Hallam of Washington, PA; amd 2 portraits of Hampton Institute students by Tennant of Newport News, VA. The large group portrait depicts 10 female and 6 male Indian students, presumably also at Hampton Institute. The group portrait & 3 of the cartes-des-visite are slightly faded, 2 of the tintypes have small scratches, else in fine or near fine condition.
