Look Magazine December 31, 1963 in Memory of John F. Kennedy
New York: Look Magazine, 1963. Softcover. Covers have light soiling, creasing, edge wear. Mailing address label and old price sticker present on front cover. ; A tight solid book. All text, photographs and advertisements are present. ; B&W and Colour photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 74 pages; This is the 'Look' magazine issue which was published immediately after the assassination. As it was scheduled as their December issue, it had been planned as a Christmas issue. The assassination changed those plans. An editorial was written about the Kennedy presidency, and the new President Lyndon Johnson, and almost as an afterthought, the magazine added a glued-on sticker reading "In Memory of John F. Kennedy" (sticker is present on this copy). Ironically, the original issue layout included an introduction, written by Jacqueline Kennedy, to a feature on Christmas at the White House, which was left in the issue.. Very Good .

ABRAMS, DAN & DAVID FISHER
Kennedy's Avenger Assassination, Conspiracy, and the Forgotten Trial of Jack Ruby
Toronto: Hanover Square Press, 2021. First Edition. Hardcover. ISBN: 133591403X. Only slight wear ; A near-fine volume in a near-fine DJ, dustjacket in Mylar, unclipped. ; 9.3 X 6.4 X 1.2 inches; 400 pages; "No crime in history had more eyewitnesses. On November 24, 1963, two days after the killing of President Kennedy, a troubled nightclub owner named Jack Ruby quietly slipped into the Dallas police station and assassinated the assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. Millions of Americans witnessed the killing on live television, and yet the event would lead to questions for years to come. It also would help to spark the conspiracy theories that have continued to resonate today. Under the long shadow cast by the assassination of America’s beloved president, few would remember the bizarre trial that followed three months later in Dallas, Texas. How exactly does one defend a man who was seen pulling the trigger in front of millions? And, more important, how did Jack Ruby, who fired point-blank into Oswald live on television, die an innocent man?". Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket .

FORD, GERALD R. & JOHN R. STILES, Portrait of the Assassin
FORD, GERALD R. & JOHN R. STILES
Portrait of the Assassin
New York: Simon & Schuster, 1965. First Edition; Second Printing. Hardcover. Light shelfwear to DJ and board edges. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. ; A tight, solid book, dustjacket in Mylar, unclipped.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 508 pages; The only book written by one of the actual commissioners who sat on the Warren Commission investigating the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (other later books were written by Commission staff lawyers), congressman Ford actually broke the law at the time the book was published as he had used confidential information of the Commission in the book. During his time on the Commission, he was also acting as an informant to the FBI on the Commission's daily activities and findings. Ford was a believer in a single assassin and the "single bullet theory" from the beginning, going so far as to 'correct' a text passage in the report prior to publication, changing the wording describing Kennedy's "back wound" to read "neck wound". He was the Commissioner who attended the most testimony hearings, only Earl Warren himself could claim more time at the hearings. Ford remained a staunch defender of the Commission findings for the rest of his life. A 'must read' for any serious student of the JFK assassination.. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket .
