PENMANSHIP.
Specimens of Penmanship, written at Mr. Jackson's Academy
Leeds [?Mr. Jackson] [1830] FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. Oblong quarto, 260 x 202 mms., consisting of marbled wrappers, with printed label on front cover, enclosing ten manuscript leaves of penmanship, with the first example in colour, the last dated in pencil December 31, 1830. I have been unable to find any information about Mr. Jackson's Academy, located on Fountain-Street, near the top of Park-Row, Leeds, according to the label on the front cover. It doesn't appear in the professions and trades listed in White's Directory of 1837.
