Some light age toning browning and thumbing, later ownership inscription, occasional ink annotation, new marbled e.ps., rebound in later half morocco with terracotta cloth boards, minor rubbing to corners and joints, sl. dampstaining to lower edge of both boards, gilt filleted raised bands and gilt lettered title to spine.
¶ Signed by the Author to end of Introduction. ESTC T16298 ‘The introduction signed in MS. by the compiler: A. Fisher. The titlepage is engraved. The advertisements following the preface includes one dated March 1, 1774. In this edition the sixth line of text proper on A1r ends his Medi-. Pp.271, 273 and 295 misnumbered 732, 72 and 592 respectively. Plates: Title page, p.19 'The basket-maker', p.237 'Santon Barsisa', p.313 'The hermit'. All plates, including title page, dated 1770.’
