Washington, 1810. Hardcover. 3/4 leather with paper covered boards. 5-columns.Begins with whole issue 1440 on January 1, 1810. Some creasing to early sheets. Each issue is 4 pp. Issue No. 1620 from Vol. 11, from Feb. 28, 1811, is bound after Feb. 28, 1810 issue. From this point forward, collation is haphazard, Several numerical issues lacking, perhaps 3 from what I can tell. Full accounting provided upon application, currently written in-order on a notecard with the volume. Issue numbering anomaly for late December noted from whole issues 1593 to 1594, which are present but confused. Volume 11 commences with the November issues. There is also a supplement bound in of 4 pages dated December 18, mostly devoted to soliciting bids for mail service on many, many defined routes, with specific leaving and arriving times noted. This supplement also has ads for runaway slaves, captured slaves, and slaves for sale. Exceedingly RARE. Fair. Boards deteriorated and rip to calf leather spine, ink staining to bottom edges of first 100 sheets or so, with some resulting brittleness and loss of paper and minor text Minor creasing to sheets here and there. Dampstaining to 13 issues, inconsistent print quality and darkness.
