A male shepherd with long staff speaks with a female shepherd seated on the ground, near a small flock of two cows and three sheep. In the background another shepherd leads a cow. Etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 317 x 221 mm., platemark 310 x 214 mm., made by Dancker Danckerts (1634-1666) after Nicolaes Berchem (1622-1683), ca. 1650-1660. First print from a series of four. In good condition. Image clean, but the corners a little soiled. two small creases in the lower margin. Reference: Hollstein Dutch 127: 4 (i/2).

A shepherdess leads a small flock of sheep and cows along a path past a partly ruined building. Etching on thin wove paper, sheet size 270 x 198 mm., platemark 255 x 183 mm., made by Frédéric Théodore Faber (1782-1844) after Étienne Théolon (also: Théaulon; Aigues-Mortes 1739-Paris 1780). Signed and dated 1807 below the image. Numbered 28 from a series of 36 similar landscapes. In good condition, lower left margin corner dampstained, sheet overall mildly darkened. Reference: Hippert & Linnig i,246: 35 (ii/2).

Landscape with a path leading towards a fortification. To the left a shepherd with their flock, a mountain in the background. Etching on laid paper, made by Abraham Genoels after his own design and published by Adam Frans van der Meulen. Sheet size 163 x 130 mm. Abraham Genoels (nickname: Archimedes) (Antwerp 1640 - 1723 Antwerp) was a Flemish Baroque painter, printmaker, draughtsperson, and tapestry designer. He is mainly remembered for his landscape paintings and prints. He worked in many places in Europe, including Paris, Rome and Antwerp. Adam Frans van der Meulen (Brussels 1632 - 1690 Paris) was a Flemish painter, publisher and draughtsperson. He is known for creating designs for prints as well as tapestries. Although he painted castles and landscapes, he is mainly remembered for his miltary scenes. In very good condition, cropped within platemark. References: Hollstein 37 ii/4 (with the address of Van der Meulen). With the collection mark of Ottokar Mascha (Lugt 1903 or 1904) stamped on the verso.

A shepherdess kneels to pet one of her sheep, close to a pond. Several other sheep are resting nearby, while a dog jumps up to the small bopy with a staff standing behind her. Etching on laid paper, sheet size 361 x 233 mm. Copy in reverse after Johannes Glauber, by an unknown printmaker. Johannes Glauber (Utrecht 1646-1726 Schoonhoven) was a Dutch printmaker and painter, who travelled to Italy to join the Bentveughels. Initially his Bent name was Coridon, but as that name was already given to another member, he was known as Polidoor (after the landscape painter Polidoro da Caravaggio). In good condition, faint original middle fold, a few very faint spots of soiling in the image area. References: (Copy of) Hollstein German vol. 10, p. 83: 20

Trees in the left edge of the image. Three figures are leading a flock of cattle towards the trees. A structure with tower in the background. Etching on laid paper, sheet size 200 x 150 mm., platemark 198 x 148 mm. Made by Jan Groensveld after Nicolaes Berchem, as no. 3 from a series of 6. Jan Groensveld (also Johannes; The Hague c. 1660-1728 Amsterdam) was a Dutch printmaker, painter and publisher. Although he was mainly known as etcher, the inventory after his death showed he also produced a number of fruit still lifes. Nicolaes Berchem (Haarlem 1621-1683 Amsterdam) was a famous Dutch painter of landscapes, often featuring typically Dutch livestock and cattle. In excellent condition, cropped close to the platemark. A small crease in the lower margin. References: Hollstein 3 (only state); Wurzbach 1.

Two figures are leading a flock of various domestic animals past a pond. Two figures are travelling into the forest past the rocky outcrop to the right. In the background a large, elaborate castle. Etching on laid paper, sheet size 276 x 251 mm., platemark 266 x 242 mm., made by Anthony van der Haer in 1772, after Jan van der Meer who painted this scene in 1704. Anthony van der Haer (Amsterdam 1730-1785 Rotterdam) was a Dutch amateur graphic artist and draughtsperson. Jan van der Meer II (Haarlem 1656-1705) was a Dutch painter and printmaker. He was married to Maria Dusart, the brother of printmaker Cornelis Dusart. In very good condition. Margins cropped close to the platemark. A few small scattered spots in the margins.
