A clean tightly bound copy but with inevitable external wear (some shelf-wear, soft at head & tail of spine, corners bumped, front board a little faded adjacent to spine). Eps tanned else contents excellent and unmarked with clear ff (no foxing), all illustrations including folding frontis and map are unmarked and present. Overall in excellent condition. "Containing 113 Plates After Photographs By The Author". An interesting work of the period, with many superb photographs, not considering the effort to carry huge cameras through the bush, developing in the camp, and the dangers of the wild game.
