This article relates to the history of a watch in the author's family, an English double cased gold watch from circa 1751. This includes a retracing of the author's steps in research, a discussion of the watch's most likely maker, John Ellicott, and a description of the watch. With a small illustration of the watch and a portrait of the maker. GOOD+ condition. Small note in pencil at the top of the first page pertaining to the origin of this artice. Small pencil line in the lower left margin of the first page. Minor toning and edgewear. Good .
