Blue paper covered boards with black cloth spine, in unclipped photo illustrated jacket. 75 pp. An account by third officer William Endicott (aboard the Glide) of several months lived on the island of Vanua Levu in Fiji, after a shipwreck in 1831. He talks about the natives, as well as giving a short vocabulary of their language. FAIR jacket on a GOOD book. Heavy soiling, spotting and staining to the jacket. Moderate darkening. Large tear/chip to the lower edge, with a few other chips and tears along the extremities. Minor toning and edgewear to the book. Heavy offsetting and foxing to the first and last few pages. Good/Fair.

No Place, Dr. Trusler, 1790. Unbound. Map of Tibet with the Adjacent Country. Published June 1st, 1790 by Dr. Trusler. Paper measures 9 by 8 ½ inches with the map measuring 8 ½ by 7 ½ inches. Uncolored as issued. Features many place names and town names, as well as rivers and lakes. The Kobi (Gobi) appears at the top of the map, with India and Upper Siam in the lower portion, as well as a region along the left side of the Bay of Bengal stating "Land unknown." In FAIR/GOOD condition with heavy tattering and creasing along the left side, slightly affecting the map. There appears to be minor loss in the center of this margin, just touching the border of the map. Moderate to heavy tattering along the right edge, with a 1 inch tear extending from the center edge into the map. Some loss of paper along the margin, not affecting the map. Vertical fold crease in the center of the map with a ½ inch tear at its top. Ghosting evident where the map was folded and ink affected its corresponding opposite side. Fair .

Folded into sixths. A map of South Shetland Islands and the Northern Coast and islands in that region of Antarctica. This gives the names of the various islands, outcroppings and other named land features of the area. Presumably published in accompaniment of a work relating to the 1908-1910 French Antarctic Expedition under the direction of J.B. Charcot. VERY GOOD. Minor toning and a hint of wrinkling. Very Good .

Hamel provides one of the first European accounts of Korea from firsthand observations, chronicling a nation that up until that point was little known to Europeans. With an historical introduction by Frederic Max, as well as commentary in the margins of the text itself, elucidating on names or other points of history. VERY GOOD condition. A detailed look at the porcelain trade between Europe and China, with the first volume studying the ships, their use and construction and the voyages to China. The second volume studies the various companies operating or established in China by various European countries, and includes many examples of porcelain pieces. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pocket, pastedown and spine labels present, as well as minor library notations on the verso of the title pages. Spine label beginning to lift off the second volume, with the label from the first volume gone, leaving a light rectangle at the base of the spine. Minor soiling, fading and edgewear to the covers, with minor browning along the extremities. Interior clean and solid. Good .
