Colchester, 1676 . 0. Small hand written document on vellum measuring 8 inches by 4½ inches. Dated 1676. The front of the document is written in Latin. The reverse is in English. This is a Bond of Obligation between: John Taylor of Colchester in the County of Essex, Baker; John Potter of Colchester, Woollen Draper. 2 tiny pin holes (contents not affected). Otherwise no holes or tears. Darkening to vellum but all ink clear and free of fading. Good condition for a document of this age. Wax seal wrapped in the original paper.
