Ipswich: 28th August 1843 . 0. Folded vellum document. 21"(wide) x 13" (long). Hand-written 19th century document. The Last Will And Testament of Samuel Farritt dated 28th August 1843. Together with the probate document dated 1st April 1847. Family hstory records show that Samuel Farritt was the Innkeeper of the Friars Head Public House, Ipswich up until his death in 1843. His son George then took over the running of the Friars Head.. Samuel Farritt was born in 1778 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England, the son of Martha and John. He married Elizabeth in 1814 in his hometown. They had seven children in 13 years. He died in September 1843 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, at the age of 65.
