Louisville, KY, Amer. Printing House Blind, (1967). Large print. VG lg sz PB. Dr. Davidow has been a teacher at Overbrook since 1935 when she came after having lost her sight at 10. While at Overbrook. she was instrumental in establishing the use of the Cranmer Abacus as a part of the regular curriculum. Her enthusiasm for this pioneer method of teaching mathematics led others to follow her eagerly. Mastery of this tool has been of inestimable help in increasing the speed and accuracy of mathematical computation and in the hopes that these step-by-step explanations will make it much easier for each teacher to learn the procedure as well as to facilitate the teaching of the operations to the student.
