London: John Murray, 1861. 21cm. lxxv[i], 236; 262[2]pp, plates (some folding, some colour), tables. 'Bullet Proof' brown library cloth gilt, probably by Riley, Dunn and Wilson. Draper's piece citing Darwin which sparked off the Oxford Evolution debate featuring Huxley and Wilberforce. The volume also contains a piece by C. J. B. Danbery which relates to Darwin. Also contains Greg's 'Catalogue of meteorites and fireballs AD 2 to AD 1860' and Moorsom's 'Performance of steam vessels ...' (73pp & 53pp respectively).
