Large 12mo, pp. xii, 78, [6 pp. adverts]; 12, 170, including separate title page for second item, folding engraved frontispiece by Thomas Trotter, engraved vignette of cup in second item, contemporary sheepskin (worn, rubbed, spine defective, almost falling to bits); frontispiece creased. These two works were issued and sold separately, but as the title-page for the first item includes a mention of Steven's songs, keeping them together preserves some sort of historical integrity, despite the wretched condition of the binding. The first authentic edition of Stevens' work was published in 1785.
