Ruiz, Aldolfo Marino (artist)
Ruth's Wild West Adventures. Comic Series Photo Ready Proof Prints. Episodes 1-20 (out of 30)
No Place, Irving Klaw, Publisher. Unbound. No place or date. Presumably issued by Klaw's Nutrix Company in the 1950s or early 1960s. 20 single sheets, 8 by 10 inches. Printed on single sides only. Parts one through twenty only of this fetish and bondage comic created by Adolfo Marino Ruiz for Irving Klaw. Adolfo Marino Ruiz was a Mexican artist and cartoonist, who was one of the biggest producers of fetish and bondage art and stories for Irving Klaw. Ruiz was noted for his incorporation of story lines and period settings and costumes. Irving Klaw was a producer and distributor of pin-up and fetish art in America. While originally distributing Hollywood pinups, by 1948 he moved into the fetish and bondage realm, producing photobooks and magazines. He eventually ran afoul of the censorship laws, and by the 1960s, when his Nutrix Company was in operation, he sold entirely by mail order. This series features Native American and cowgirls feuding and much bondage ensues. The prints range in condition from GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. The first print has some paper adhered to the upper left corner and minor surface loss, neither affecting the text. Some staining and creasing to the corners of the first several prints, with some episodes toned and some rather sharp in imagery. In general, some of these bear creases at the corners and other minor wear, while others are relatively unblemished. Good .
