Stanton, Eric (artist)
Perils of Diana! Broken Run of 7 Episodes (Numbers 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9). Comic Series Photo Ready Proof Prints
No Place, Irving Klaw, Publisher. Unbound. No place or date. Presumably issued by Klaw's Nutrix Company in the 1950s or early 1960s. 7 single sheets, 8 by 10 inches. Printed on single sides only. Artwork by Eric Stanton, an artist known for his fetish and bondage imagery, and who was perhaps best known for his more transgressive work featuring gender role reversal and female dominance scenes. Irving Klaw was a producer and distributor of pin-up and fetish art in America. While originally distributing Hollywood pinups, by 1948 he moved into the fetish and bondage realm, producing photobooks and magazines. He eventually ran afoul of the censorship laws, and by the 1960s, when his Nutrix Company was in operation, he sold entirely by mail order. The episodes in this story feature a young heiress touring an inherited castle that was used for torture during the Inquisition, with replicas of the devices throughout. The prints range in condition from GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. Some episodes toned and some rather sharp in imagery. In general, some of these bear creases at the corners and other wear, while others are relatively unblemished. Good .
