UNITED STATES CONGRESS / JOINT COMMITTEE ON ATOMIC ENERGY
Hearing and Subsequent Inquiry of the Subcommittee on Military Applications of the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy Congress of the United States Ninety-Second Congress First and Second Sessions on Nuclear Propulsion for Naval Warships May 5, 1971 - September 30, 1972
Washington, DC: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1972. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Paperback. Trade PB. This is a trade paperback book printed by the U. S. Government Printing Office with heavy cardstock covers and a stapled binding. The book is in generally very good only condition. The front cover of the book has one tear starting at the top spine joint. The text pages are clean and bright. Both top and bottom edges of the text block have been marked over in black ink - like a doodle done while listening in front of the committee - and, unfortunately, not done neatly or with care. It does not, however, affect the text in any way. "Secretary Laird was recovering from an operation and Deputy Secretary of Defense Packard said he was unable to attend. Therefore, the subcommittee asked Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the first witness, to deliver a list of questions to Secretary Packard to be answered for the committee's review. These questions were answered in an 18-page letter to the Chairman of the Joint Committee from Secretary Packard dated May 28, 1971... In addition to Admiral Moorer, Admiral E. R. Zumwalt, Jr, the Chief of Naval Operations and Vice Admiral H. G. Rickover, Director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program testified to the subcommittees." (from Wikipedia). Very Good .
