Published a year after the facility's completion, the book presented a pictorial history of Camp Hale - the US Army facility situated at an elevation of 9,238 feet and training approximately 15 000 soldiers (at its peak) in mountain climbing, Alpine and Nordic skiing, severe-weather survival, weapons and ordnance, etc. Very good .
