Joquin Murrieta, Three Fingered Jack, mexican laborers, land and water battles with Henry Miller the cattle king. Loss of an only son this is their story as told by a descendant. Their names lives on today in the town of Firebaugh in Californias central valley. As New/Very Good.

He traded in furs, walked most of the most of the way, was with Jedediah Smith and his first brigade, encountered the Donner Party, and in one feat he walked alone across 600 miles of the great Plains to Fort Atkinson. This reissue contains all his journals, notes and maps. Index 295 pages Good.

Well known in radio in the 1940ies Dickson was in on the ground floor of early broadcast advertising which was just coming into its own. While on the leading edge of this advertising he did a survey of the stations, which were unhappy with the results. He soon found that the radio stations had blacklisted him. He did some writing for KYA and also for NBC under an assumed name. He was behind the series winning the West, Hawthorne House and did police and children's stories for radio as well. In this book you will meet many of the early characters of San Francisco which were part of his series on KNBC under "The California Story". The series ran for almost a quarter of a century.
