The exposition arose from a project by artist El Loko, who in 1992 invited three Togolese artists (Sokey Edorh, Massimo Wanssi, Amouzou Glikpa AkoueĢteĢ) and five German (Peter Kowald, Thomas SchoĢnauer, Ulrike Arnold, Regine Rothlach, Eva Ohlow) to his home village of Pedakondji, in southern Togo, to engage in an artistic African-European dialogue.
