1847-8. 33cm. Modern green cloth accounts book lettered in black, original marbled wraps bound in. Fine account book of a jobbing bookbinder/leather worker with entries in exceptional detail. Covers the period 30th Jan 1847 to 28th Jan 1848. Covers wages paid (10-12 employees), works carried out, costs etc. Columns denote job number, work executed (quantities, size, materials), cost of materials, cost of labour. Additional relevant details on final leaves. Unfortunately the name of the firm/binder is not mentioned, but believed to be in Scotland.
