Bitch. The Woman's Rock Mag with Bite. #17
Campbell, CA, Bitch, Publisher, 1987. Wraps. Wraps. 8 ½ by 11 inches. Printed on newsprint paper. 64 pp. Black and white photos throughout. Founded by Lori Twersky and Susan McCarthy in 1985, Bitch was a zine devoted to women in rock music, no matter the genre (though punk and metal is well represented). It was published until 1989. This issue debuts a new format for the zine, that according to Twersky, was a pain to lay out, but would help in distribution. With many letters to the editor; pieces on Caterwaul, Zeitgeist, Alix Dobkin, etc. It also addresses (fragile) males who didn't get the point of the zine. GOOD+ condition. Moderate toning and minor edgewear. Price sticker on the lower front cover. Good .
