The first edition of this work, an uncommon book. With six illustrations by W. Rainey, frontispiece in colour. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with shelf wear, bumped to extremities of boards and spine, general light soiling, boards lightly marked. Evidence of the removal of a bookplate to front pastedown.
