The Mark of the Beast
Los Angeles, CA: Biola Book Room, 1918. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. This book is in Very Good+ condition and is lacking the dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's ink stamped name and address on the front endpaper, along with a couple of penciled and inked previous owner's notations on the front endpaper. "Sydney Watson was a British author who popularised rapture fiction. The Rapture is a prophesied event in Christian eschatology, in which Christians will be gathered together at the return of Christ; even Christians who have died are to be resurrected to participate in the coming of Christ. His works include: In the Twinkling of an Eye (1910) , Scarlet and Purple (1913) and The Mark of the Beast (1915). "The desire of the author of "The Mark of the Beast" has been to further "startle" and awaken "careless, ill-taught professing Christians, " by giving some faint view of the fate of those professors who will be "left behind" to go through the horrors of The Tribulation. "" (from Wikipedia). Very Good+ .
