School of Aerial Photography, Ithaca New York on a scroll in white in the lower left hand corner. With two loosely included enlargements, one with the rubric and titled "The Photographic huts" [200 x 250 cm.], and another, untitled which shows a truck with the words "[U]S.A Aeronautics [Mo]tor Truck [--]01" with the doorway open showing a shop in the interior, with a rolled up screen, meant among other things as a dark room [160 x 210 cm.]. Some of the captions of photographs are: Copying a Mosaic[ using a view camera]; Studying Conventional Signs; Inverted and reversed Negative Lettering ; Chemical Storeroom-Photographic Huts ; Developing Aerial Negatives ; Photographic Huts ; The Acetylene Generator; U.S.A School of Aerial Photography-Main Building ; Instruction in Camera Suspension ;Instruction on an Aerial Camera. These are all loose, missing any portfolio, but the number 24 to which they add up seems like a complete set. Activities shown include all activities of a group of enlisted men and no further shots would seem to be needed. Unloc. at OCLC/RLin, H, Y, Melvyl, CIC, NYPL, LC. Only record of such a school from any country in WW I, and apparently Unique,VG.
