Part of French's Standard Drama, No. CCXVIII; two publisher's addresses to front wrap and title page, indicating a publishing date between 1858 and ca 1880; 7 1/2 x 4 1/2; pp. [1], 4-60; orange wraps, tied with a decorative string; small nicks to edges; spine cover splitting and separating; minor spotting to margins and a few faint, penciled-in notes; in good condition. Aiken's script of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" would serve as the basis for most of the theatrical productions of the book and would arguably be the only one of numerous dramatizations to be regularly published well into the 20th century. George Aiken (1830 - 1876) was a playwright and actor, who would play the hero George Harris himself. Good .
