Bawden was appointed one of the first Official War Artists of the Second World War. He was sent to join the British Army in France, was evacuated from Dunkirk and then sent to the Middle East, where he spent two years. His ship was torpedoed on his return to England and he spent two months in a French internment camp before being released, only to return to the Middle East, for much of the remainder of the War. Items will be posted within 3 days of order, unless otherwise agreed. Delivery within the UK should be within a further five days. There is no liability for failure to deliver within the estimated timescale. Postage will be charged at cost and at buyer's request by air or surface mail, and will automatically include full insurance cover.

We have the right to refuse any order.

Customers have the right to return books, if they are not as described within 7 working days. Books will be returned at the customers cost and must be returned in good condition in their original packaging.
