And now he wanted to return to Moscow, to get photos of Stalin in the Kremlin. "Impossible!" exclaimed his bosses. "He won't even pose for Bolshevik photographers! He won't be photograhed except on public occasions. In groups... You couldn't even get by the guards at the Kremlin Gate. " But to Moscow Abbe went, and this book contains 62 pages of his b/w photos from the trip, including a signed portrait of Stalin!
