(Published in June 1997 one month prior to the US edition by Tor.) Page block shows the usual age-related tanning due to the acid-based pages used in the printing process , else fine (unread) copy in very fine jacket. Not a remainder nor ex-library copy. A clean, square copy without price-clipping. The original title was simply the slash "/" character with the word "SLANT" in smaller letters below it, but the US publisher was concerned that US readers would be confused, so the "/" was omitted and "SLANT" only was used instead. Go figure. Thematic sequel to the award-nominated novel "Queen of Angels". Award History: 1998 Campbell Award Nominee for Best Novel (lost to Forever Peace by Haldeman); 1998 Locus Poll Award Nomine for Best SF Novel (lost to The Rise of Endymion by Simmons). Customer orders are acknowledged after purchase via e-mail notification. We safely and securely package our books prior to shipment. Same day notification of shipment is also sent to the customer via e-mail. We have three shipping options to Europe: Global Priority, International Air and M-Bag service. Shipments to Japan, Australia and the European Union are $10.00 USD for Global Priority (4 to 7 business day delivery) per title; Priority Mail to Canada is $8.00 USD for 3 to 5 business day delivery per title. (Oversized titles too large to fit into the Priority envelopes or multiple title orders will be boxed and shipping fees will charged to the customer following notification.) All credit card sales are subject to Verification as required by our merchant processor. Although we’ve never had a lost shipment, we cannot guarantee Air Parcel nor International Surface shipments. A U.S. Postal Service Certificate of Mailing form is completed for all Air Parcel and International Surface shipments providing shipping date and a copy of the Certification is e-mailed to the customer. Air Parcel and International Surface can be insured at the Customer's expense.
