Thomas Arnold was the son of Dr Arnold, the great headmaster of Rugby and brother of the poet Matthew Arnold. Thomas Arnold visited land at Makara near Wellington that was purchased by his father. During his stay in New Zealand Thomas Arnold also visited Otago, Otaki, Porirua, Flaxbourne, Port Underwood, Wairau, Nelson etc. Also a chapter on Tasmania, Sydney, Melbourne. Very Good.
